My

My hard-drive has officially gone kaput. Nothing I do can get me past the blue screen of death so I have now become resigned. I might be able to harvest parts from a spare computer, but what gets me is that I've now lost most documents, some art, lots of pictures, and a whole slew of other things. Argh.

*hopes to find a way to muster the hard-drive to one last hurrah in order to get some info off of it*

In the meantime I'll be gone for a while, since my comp is obviously dead. See ya'll around.

Halloween Phooey

Mon Oct 26, 2009, 4:02 AM
I was supposed to be going to a convention this weekend but now it looks like it won't be happening. This makes me rather sad, especially as it had been my Halloween plans and now I'm suddenly lacking. (read: pathetic)

Oh well, I guess this gives me more time to get over the little bit of flu I have and work a bit more on fixing my computer. (Really, can computers catch viruses from humans? Because if so then I swear I've been making my poor comp sick - or perchance it's the other way round.)

On the plus side I've been looping 'Labyrinth' in the background while working on said computer and that always makes me happy (though I still really need to get around to watching 'The Dark Crystal' again too). And silly me, I just realized tonight that Ludo is one of the creatures from 'Where the Wild Things Are' as the book sits on her dresser, next to her music box of the girl in her white dress and her Didymus looking puppet. I think I may have noticed that before and just forgotten, but the realization tonight made me both happy and feel like an idiot. Yay lack of observancy skillz. ^_-

As of late I'm rather addicted to that nifty little 'random deviation' button. You come across some really interesting stuffs there. Yay for randomness!

I got got

I've been tagged! oh noes! *demonsaya got me and there was no chance of escape, so here be my turn at the helm ^_-

Follow these directions please:

1. Post these rules.
2. Each tagged person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3. At the end, you have to choose and tag 5 people and post their icons on the same journal.
4. Go to their pages and send a message saying you tagged them.
5. No tag-backs.

Hmm...I'm trying to decide what's interesting as opposed to just random. Meh. Well, here goes:

1-. I really, really like to play with fire. (I know, surprising, ne?) And guns (target shooting only) and anything else explosive. Or shooting at tannerite, which makes it explode. Yay flames!

2-. I love teh Jesus but am kinda weird and liberal in my views. For one, I firmly believe heaven is a commune ^_^

3-. I broke my pinky toe years ago. It actually still bothers me from time to time.

4-. I've been to more countries than I have states.

5-. Related to the above, I've had to eat some very odd things in my time. For instance, pig blood soup. Yummy :(

6-. Music was my first love and playing guitar and singing is still one of my favorite things to do.

7-. I'm horrible about starting projects, being really excited about them, then stopping a couple days in because I've found something else or some interesting new toy to occupy my time. I'm the epitome of jack of all trades, master of none.

8-. I want to learn to play every instrument and speak every language. Of course that's not possible, but still I'm working toward it. And of course my end goals are playing the sitar and speaking Japanese, since they're some of the hardest to learn in their respective fields.

9-. If I could have my way I'd spend 2 hours in the bathtub every day (or install a spa so I could do the same there). Hot water + good book = love. Not like I have time for that though.

10-. I've been through most every subculture I've had access to: grunge, hippie, nerd/geek (both the 'cool' kind and the utterly horrible kind), punk, raver, emo/indie, goth, japanese/chinese/cosplayer - often many at the same time. It certainly made for an interesting wardrobe and music collection ^_-

My 'victims': meh, most people I know have done something similar to this. So I tag anyone who hasn't yet done this and would like to. There, I did me part. :-Þ

I finally broke down and bought a new monitor but now I feel like it's too bright. I just can't win! haha.

So now I'm gonna start doing arts and see how they turn out on this shiny newness. Huzzah.

P.S. - I am loving this Rattlin' Bones album.
